My Instant Pot IP DUO60, 7-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker - Review

In autumn of last year, we asked the Plant-Smart Living community (which was rather small at the time) for feedback on choosing a new pressure cooker for us to use. There are so many pressure cookers on the market, that it can become difficult to distinguish what product provides the best cost to value ratio. We take your voices into high consideration when producing content and making decisions that will ultimately impact the community. After a solid amount of feedback, we ended up purchasing the Instant Pot IP DUO60, 7-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker. I am pleased to say that the results have been excellent!

Since buying my Instant Pot IP DUO60 last year, I have put it to the test to produce many foods ranging from simple rice and beans to more complex recipes such as my Instant Pot Apple Crisp. In case you are not aware, the full Instant Pot recipe is available in the Plant-Smart Living Digital Recipe Guide as well if you need a useful resource we have assembled to better benefit our community of users. Many of our Instapot cooking videos on YouTube have received quite a few views, and most importantly, great comments from people who are really enjoying the food being created.

This model of Instant Pot is affordable, and provides significant value for the relatively low cost. I have seen other, more expensive, Instant Pot models "reviewed" online and praised (and probably rightfully so as Instant Pot is a well regarded kitchenware brand name), however few seem to show the results of real use over-time and how the product holds up when faced with frequent and varied usage.

Highly recommended: Buy the Instant Pot IP DUO60

The core reasons why I am satisfied with the Instant Pot IP DUO60 is because it has been durable and reliable for close to a year now, and is still going strong. Not to mention, this pressure cooker provided a variety of cooking settings and built in programs to help get the exact flavor and texture you are looking for. Ultimately, a pressure cooker like this is an excellent compliment to a whole foods, plant-based diet as it can remove a lot of the time spent in the kitchen. You can just set it and forget it!

Other notable elements of my Instant Pot IP DUO60 is that it is dishwasher safe and has a number of built in safety features. If you have children, this is an excellent product because of the safety considerations, but also the ease of use as it will enable you to bond over the creation of your food using this unique pressure cooking mechanism.

If you have been thinking about purchasing a pressure cooker, or just want a kitchen appliance that will help make preparation of vegan meals a little easier and less time consuming, the Instant Pot IP DUO60, 7-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker is highly recommended. It has met all of our needs and more!
