How To Cook Kale in an Instant Pot Pressure Cooker

Cooking fresh kale in an Instant Pot Pressure Cooker is surprisingly easy. I always enjoy eating kale (and most other vegetables) in their raw, unaltered form, but the reality of vegan eating is that it is sometimes best to "mix it up" from time to time. There are times when I return home from a long work day and just need something easy. My Instant Pot DUO60 Pressure Cooker provides me with the opportunity to make something tasty without having to spend a large amount of time in the kitchen. Much like other appliances like a microwave or oven, once you add the food you are planning to cook, you just set the time and let it do the rest.

Kale, like many other vegetables, are grown in my backyard garden. A part of my sustainable plant-based lifestyle is being able to plant the seeds and reap the benefits in the form of my harvest. Growing food in this way allows me to save money and trips to the store, and allows me to have full control over the quality of the plant-life because I know the soil is nutrient rich and no chemical additives are being used. Of course, if you do not have your own garden, you can certainly make do with store bought kale!!

Anyhow, cooking kale in an Instant Pot Pressure Cooker is really simple. I have come to find that cooking most foods, especially single foods, is really easy. There was a learning curve to using the Instapot, but on the whole it has been working out just fine.
