How To Cook Broccoli in an Instant Pot Pressure Cooker

I wanted to provide some insight into cooking broccoli in an Instant Pot Pressure Cooker. I am using the affordable Instant Pot IP DUO60, 7-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker. Broccoli is one of my favorite vegetables because of it's unique taste and nutrient density. I enjoy growing it in my garden (as you can see at the start of the video) and like bringing it inside to my kitchen and table.

Making broccoli in the Instant Pot is extremely easy. We simply added a cup of water and set to 0. You can then chop up the broccoli to fit in the pressure cooker. Cooking time is around 10 minutes for it to come to pressure, then we release the pressure and let it cook a little longer on the low heat setting. The full details are included in the video as I walk you through how to prepare broccoli using the pressure cooker.

The most difficult part of getting this right is just getting used to the pressure cooker you are using. I received a comment from one user on YouTube stating that they did not know they could set it to 0. It is important to follow the user guide, and to watch tutorials to get it just right. I know in the past, I have certainly made mistakes in the kitchen and ruined dishes that could have turned out to be really good! Of course, we are all human and this is bound to happen as we are trying something new.

Hopefully this video will help alleviate some anxiety you may have when it comes to using your Instant Pot pressure cooker.
